Top Earners In MLM. Study Them, It’s A Habit That You Won’t Regret.

Top earners in MLM know it, why don’t you? And if you do know it but are asking yourSelf; how the heck do I do that? Read on, because this is what I about to reveal in this article. This just might be one of the most important pieces of information you will run across. So make sure that you read on, what I have to tell you will change your life as a network marketing professional and just about any other profession your getting involved in.

Unfortunately so many people get involved in this profession and don’t have a clue where to begin. The reason being that they most likely enrolled under a person who doesn’t have a clue themselves.  And while  this is my personal opinion, and it seems to have gone viral and this is why the failure rate is so high within the profession.  So many people have the potential, the desire and determination to become the top earners in MLM. On the other hand what they don’t have, is the people,  support  or a training system to educate them with the right skills, strategies and mindset needed to succeed in this profession.

Here’s another very important fact, most people come in to this business under somebody else, who’s job is to guide them. Unfortunately most of the time that person doesn’t have a clue themselves  of what to do next. The only thing that “So Called” sponsor is excited about is the fact that he or she finally signed somebody up.  So what happens?  The new recruit get very little or no results within the first 90 days and they just give up.

Now the new recruit starts to play the blame game. First they blame it first on the sponsor, then on the company and then on the profession or the  industry, all together. Now the whole industry suffers and it’s mainly because too much of this has  always  been going on within the MLM / Network Marketing and even in most of the Internet Marketing companies.

Now, here’s a question for you. When you were in the 5th grade, did you learn from a 6th grader? Or even better yet, did you learn from high school students? No, you learned from a well paid professional who was well educated in a particular skill. Right? Then why would you want to learn from a sponsor who most likely is in the same grade level as you?

We all have to learn, so why not learn from the best? And who better to learn from but the Top Earners In MLM or any profession, for that matter.

One of the greatest philosophies that top earners in MLM love to live by is one that  was popularized by the great, late Zig Ziglar;

“You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want,”

Most people are scared or intimidated by the earners in MLM. the truth is that they want to help you succeed. Not only do they want you to succeed they want to be a major part of it. Because they know that it only comes back to them.

This is one of the traits that you should embrace, why? Because that’s what they do, all of them. Success leaves clues, and earners in MLM just love to leave bread crumbs so that many can follow. They don’t make it difficult, as a matter of fact they go out of their way to show you what they do. Let’s not forget this is Network Marketing, it’s not something that we do alone, we are all to help one another, no matter if one of the top earners in MLM, or somebody just walking in the door. Because the one thing the top earners in MLM don’t forget, is that day that they enrolled into their first company and that long challenging climb to the top.  And here’s the best part.

Starting Over, there is nothing wrong with new beginnings.

It’s very simple.

Starting Over. Keep on doing what you’re doing and you will keep on getting what you’re getting. Nothing changes, if nothing changes. And quite honestly; my business hasn’t seen any growth. Actually, it’s going to wrong way.  So this is why I have decided to take a good look at what’s going on. I’ve invested too much time and effort. Plus most importantly, I’m not going to let go of my dream. Unless I want to keep getting up at 3 am to go to work to make somebody else rich. I don’t think so! This is why I’m Starting Over.

It hasn’t gotten any better.

This is another reason for starting over. Because of the fact that my business has not grown I’ve been forced to go back to work. And let me tell you something; it still sucks out there. The traffic is still bumper to bumper, gas prices are still high, bosses are still miserable and the future is still very depressing. So starting over seems like a very good alternative. stuff. So I know that starting over works. I’ve done it with something a little more challenging than a business; I did it with my life. There was a point in my life that things my life needed a major adjustment, everything around me was falling apart. And it had everything to do with how I was running it, the decisions that I was making and the people that I surrounded myself with all of which had to be changed. Starting over was my best option and it was the best thing that I could have done.

Just Like before.

I can remember sitting in my room in the middle of the night overwhelmed with fear, doubt and total chaos within mySelf. Looking at my life at the time, watching it all fall apart as it was getting worse day by day. I remember thinking to myself; something has to change. And at that very same moment the answer came to me; that something was me. Starting over at this point was the best thing that I could do, not only for me but for my whole family, as they were being affected also.

At that point I ran to the resources that were always there, but I never used them. Now it was time to take some positive action and fix what was wrong, me.

Well that’s exactly what I’m going to do, I will utilize the resources, friends, connections and mentors that I have been able to make in this industry and take some positive action within my business. This will make starting over much easier.

What has worked.

First thing I do know that I have to focus on is what has worked and that was writing. I wrote an article almost every day. I stopped because of my own self doubt, fears and insecurities. I honestly didn’t think that I was a good writer.  But either good or bad, I know that I will never excel in writing if I just stop all together.  Doing something wrong, but consistently working on improvement is much better than not doing anything at all.

Next were the relationships I developed through my blog. I built some very good empowering relationships with many of my readers people just like you. So I will start writing again. Providing value and building more relationships with my friends. So this also makes starting over very easy and I am grateful for each and every one of you.

So I have plenty to do.

And I will keep you all informed. Starting over is much better than giving up as we see so many people do, time and time again. Everything that I do will be shared with you. So you have a perfect opportunity to learn and grow with me all you have to do is come by from time to time, sign up to my RSS and I’ll do the rest.

This is the third part of my five-part series on The Laws of Stratospheric Success of the inspirational book, Go Giver by Bob Burg and John David Mann. The Go Givers third law is The Law of Influence in which it states, “Your influence is determined by how abundantly you place other people’s interests first”.

Let’s have a quick review of the first two laws; The Law of Value tells us to give more in value than what we accept in payment and yet still prosper. This is in understanding with the difference between price and value. Price is the financial value while value is the high regarded worth to the consumer. The second law, The Law of Compensation imparts that the more people we provide exceptional value to, the more monetary reward we receive. In the third law, The Law of Influence, it actually shows us how to be practical; to give and serve abundantly and put other people’s interests above our own. It is in this act you will see that people will do business to someone they know, like and actually trust. There is no faster, effective and powerful way to do this but by finding ways to place other person’s interests first. That is what the Law of Influence is trying to teach us, to build a relationship based on respect, commitment, loyalty and trust. To earn influence, show value to receive the warranted respect, trust and loyalty. Nevertheless, remember to do this out of free will, with a committed passion, for it would mean losing a part of ourselves. See to it that our own self-value is realized at the same time we are serving others.

The Law of Influence shows us how to be a giver. Being a giver doesn’t mean giving out everything for free. A giver comprehends that it is not common for someone to give without expecting anything in return. It is a natural human reaction and perception that to give is to receive something back. However, the Law of Influence wants us to practice giving and providing more value than what we expect to receive. A “true” giver wants to learn what an individual truly needs and finds ways to fulfill that need to the best of his ability. It could come in the form of listening or offering advice and solutions to particular problems, uplifting rather than criticizing.

We all give and take though some of us are out of balance. A few people give too much but resent it because they lack the passion to do so. A few people take most of the time and yet do not quite understand the reason why they are still not getting ahead. The remaining others learn to live in balance. The important thing is to determine if you want to be a giver or a taker. It is up to you to put that balance in your life. The Law of Influence in the beginning may show you that in establishing a relationship, you may end up giving a lot more than actually receiving but this is only temporary. As you infuse commitment into giving others needs, you may not immediately see the results of your growing influence, but it’s there, right where you planted it. Be patient, stand firm in being a giver, and help build the success of others and see the rewards return to you in a thousand fold.

The Go Givers book has distinct important ideas, but the point of the Law of Influence is to run your business with a servant’s will and heart.  To go out of your way to ensure the success of everyone you know or may not know yet; to spread out information and be engaged to everyone else’s activities. If you can structure your business so that you can give as much as possible to affiliates and investors or to work on how not to keep most money or opportunity for yourSelf rather give more regard to the people who might need it most.

If it attracts prospects to local businesses like restaurants, bars, salons and other small businesses, it can definitely do the same for a network business. Facilities, campuses, public places are good places to leave flyers or even business cards.

4)      Direct Response Marketing – is an offline network marketing approach that creates advertising by making the prospect take a specified action. The action can be in the form of sale, like using a toll-free number, an opt-in mailing list, having them fill out forms and postcards.

5)      Seminars – probably the best way to gain knowledge at the same time benefit by meeting new people to offer your business opportunities into. Seminars usually consist of interaction between the speaker and its audience. Take the opportunity to ask the speaker about information that is most likely misunderstood. This way the participants find information more useful that can be shared as well as advices.  You can drop off a few business cards for possible prospects, all you have to do is to follow them up.

Mark Yarnell and Rene Reid Yarnell – a network marketer couple are among the top industry’s leaders and members of the University of Illinois faculty, who teaches the only college-certified course in network marketing in the U.S. wrote Your First Year in Network Marketing to give counsel and inspire those who want to succeed in network marketing.

The book written and published more than a decade ago, but the doctrines and truth remain sound. Newer and effective strategies has sprung and produced remarkable results but the fundamentals by which network marketing is built as described in Your First Year in Network Marketing book are still undoubtedly true.

Seasoned with personal anecdotes to bring recommendations and logical strategies to overcome first year in network marketing, the book opts to help start up a career in the networking business. The chapters analyzes and deals with issues on rejection, depression, recruiting and training, over managing downline, staying focused and enthusiastic, avoiding unrealistic expectations and conducting in-home meetings.

On the first page of the Introduction the author said, “In network marketing you persevere or you perish. Quitting is the one sure way to fail. Surviving the first year in network marketing is a good basis of success. Data shows that 95% of those who survive ten years in network marketing become wealthy beyond their wildest expectations.” Imagine committing one’s energy for only ten years to get the reward you’re looking forward to get. Succeeding in the business you built, inspiring and extending help to other people and living the life you’ve always wanted. That is sure worth the wait.

The first chapter in the book covers how to deal with rejection. Everybody faces rejection in life, but the most devastating ones comes from the people whom we love and respect most. The chapter gives lesson on how to make rejection your ally instead of your enemy. Though most rejection cannot be anticipated, it helps to prepare for those forms of rejection that are most destructive especially in your first year in network marketing.

The second chapter talks of reinforcing self-sufficiency rather than dependency. Network marketing strongly emphasizes team building rather than supervisory. There are no managers, only leaders who teach Self-reliance and self-sufficiency and provide guidance and support to strengthen the organization.

Moreover, a topic discussed in the book is how to maintain enthusiasm in spite of inevitable setbacks. This proves to be very helpful for entrepreneurs in their first year in network marketing. Understand and know that setbacks are normal in the network marketing industry, it is important to learn how to handle such setbacks. The author warns of the most common causes of depression brought about by difficulties. The first advice is to begin with an open admission of your own personal struggles with this terrifying opponent. He then proceeds to lay out a list of solutions on how to battle this predicament.

Another topic that would probably catch more of your interest is winning through integrity rather than exaggeration. People are born into this world in a neutral state, the state of happiness. The only time we feel suffering is when we lose something we need. Rejection in love, career, family, friends or anything else does not bring pleasure but it shouldn’t take away happiness either.

In business especially those involving sales, rejection causes pain, which almost all people want to avoid, but as it is a natural part of the marketing process, learning how to handle it will have a better outcome in the end. In network marketing business, MLM rejection is mostly felt by neophytes in the business, as you stay longer and grow, the chances of MLM rejection decreases. As a newbie in the network marketing business, the natural feeling of enthusiasm and excitement engulfs your totality. The thought of having a list in your mind of possible prospects such as your family and friends add up to the excitement that you can actually share what you have learned after a presentation. However, sad as it may seem, that enthusiasm will fade away as MLM rejection hits you directly from out of nowhere. It hurts most as the rejection first came from the ones closest to you.

Don’t take it personally, easier said than done, but that should be the right attitude. You still have a long way to go and on that journey, you will encounter a lot of “No’s”. Put yourself into that state that the rejection is meant for the offer, not at you personally. Recognize that almost anyone can be rejected and that you are among them. Think of it as a new door or another opening after one has been slammed right on your face. Missing this one lost you some good, but a new one could be much better.

MLM rejection causes more people to fail in MLM than any other factor; this is taken literally, as they approach it not from the heart but from the head. People usually refuse what they do not understand. Separate yourSelf from the herd, if at some time you sense that you’re prospect isn’t interested, step off and change the topic. Do not try to force upon your business to the person; otherwise, you will just start a heated discussion. Let them realize if they want it or not.

For MLM rejection to be avoided, it is important that you do not try to sound like an expert in the business, especially when you’re a neophyte and have what you think you have learned shared immediately to your family and friends. Much as you are excited, it is always going to sound complete and better coming from whoever recruited you to let them see it the same way it was explained to you. There is another way to avoid MLM rejection and that is proper training, having the patience to learn more on how to engage to prospects individually on how to gain the right connection and rapport. Make a commitment that you will not share any information about the opportunity until you have been properly trained to do so. Knowing how to present the information in the appropriate manner and dealing with an assortment of reaction you might experience will prepare you for a strong foundation for ultimate MLM success.

MLM rejection really does hurt. How you handle it and the way you are trained to do so can make a big difference between success and happiness or the pain of being disappointed and sad. Persistence will help you reach your goals and include in your objective to learn from rejections. Learning to do so will untangle yourself emotionally and start to feel more productive.

 We’re on the second part of the journey through the book, The Go-Giver, wherein we will take a look at the 2nd law of Stratospheric Success, The Law of Compensation. The Law of Compensation, states, “your income is determined by how many people you serve and how well you serve them”.

The first law concludes your true value, how much value you give as opposed to what you take in payment. The 2nd law, The Law of Compensation, however, decides how much compensation you actually earn.

There are three typical reasons for working: (a) to live through – meeting our basic needs of living; (b)to set aside – going beyond basic needs and to extend our life; (c) serve – making a valuable contribution to the community.

Sadly, most people have their focus on the first reason. The second reason takes in a smaller number, but for the third reason, a few rare people who are truly successful choose this reason to put their focus into. If you wish to choose the third reason, change your focus into serving a large group of people that doesn’t necessarily mean your customers or clients to enhance your career in home business. Start with a few investments of people who have learned to trust you. Seeing how you work, the amount of value and service you give, they will be the ones who automatically puts in a good word to referrals and probable connections.

The Law of Compensation teaches us to not base our relationships in business or private life in determining how much one owes, that not going to build trust, that’s building credit. The income you make from your home business is directly proportional to how many you serve. Using The Law of Compensation, it means choosing the way in determining your level of compensation. To gain success, discover more ways to serve more people. Furthermore, only you can set a limit on how much you can earn depending on the number of people you can serve.

Notice that there are some people who earn a lot, and other just barely scrape enough to get by. The Law of Compensation is all about physical work, however, for you to have advantage there is a need to understand the elements included. As a home business owner, there is a need for what you do and that is finding your market. Set yourself apart and provide what they don’t expect from other businesses, increase the level on how to serve your customers.

Ask yourself how to execute the job with excellence, what resources can you use to surpass competition and how can you improve in terms of situational problems. The Law of Compensation asserts the need to start with what you have to offer and from there income will come. Focusing on doing the job better, on being unique, the ability to improve and turn challenges into opportunities to serve more will gain you more compensation. If you are at your best in giving good service you invest on being extremely valuable, raising your worth and earnings. The key is to do more than what is expected, opportunities knock when you see the need for something and filling in to do it.

The right attitude also constitutes to the way you can achieve more compensation. Complaining all the time about people and circumstances will show that you are not enthusiastic in solving problems and shows less dedication into commitment to service. Stop looking for someone or something to blame for your lack of success, instead focus on doing your work better.

Believe and trust that The Law of Compensation will work for you, and it will. One form of success is income in monetary compensation. Nevertheless, there are is a higher level of compensation in serving others. Following The Law of Compensation’s principle plus believing in yourSelf that you can do it, increases future compensation potentials.

Robert Kiyosaki, author of the best selling Rich Dad Poor Dad, an entrepreneur who’s into mining and real estate, an investor and mentor who plugs financial education as the key to success. Donald Trump, billionaire real estate developer, a successful entrepreneur in his own right. Together, Trump and Kiyosaki team up and creates the book Why We Want you to be Rich because of their concern for the middle class who is rapidly diminishing, as the rich get richer. Trump and Kiyosaki want you to be rich through network marketing.

Kiyosaki relates that in the beginning, he was against network marketing, but after seeing the advantages and opportunities, he realized that it is an industry that can change an individual’s life. Being an entrepreneur is a tough challenge a person takes on, where does one exactly acquire the knowledge and training. Trump and Kiyosaki recommends network marketing.

Conquering self-doubt, timidness and fear of rejection is the first lesson Kiyosaki learned. Moving on where you left off and failed is one of the personal traits he advises for a person to be successful in network marketing business, a franchise or starting up an entrepreneurial enterprise. He then compliments leadership skills and thanks his being a Marine Corps officer for teaching him to lead others into battle and triumph over their fears.

Trump on the other hand says that although network marketing as a powerful tool can increase the power of marketing, you have to have self-motivation. Let out the passion in what you’re doing to keep the momentum and motivation at its peak. Develop that entrepreneurial spirit, focusing and persevering into tasks that come your way. Likewise, he cites sociability as another requirement in network marketing. However, from Kiyosaki’s own experience, shyness can be overcome. When you are truly passionate about doing something, you will blow-away any obstacles. Trump establishes the fact that network marketing is a feasible and rewarding source of income despite the challenges. Knowing all you can about the product or opportunity plus proper timing could earn you success. He asserts, when deciding about a product make use of a focus group’s ideas to have a better view of what people like and don’t like about the product. A common denominator definitely adds up to the products appeal.

Trump and Kiyosaki’s reason they got together is to teach people how to make money. Money may not be everything but it makes life easier. Their goal is to educate people how to have a better life and the attitude to create wealth. Kiyosaki thinks it’s always a good time to be an entrepreneur and to take advantage of cycles. In today’s information age, so many people are losing jobs because of technology. As an entrepreneur, use that technology to market and hire fewer people. Trump and Kiyosaki share the same philosophy that some people don’t have the guts to be an entrepreneur. Technically, not everybody can be an entrepreneur. If you’re happy with a day job working for a good company and gets satisfaction and compensations accordingly, stay where you are. Nevertheless, if you feel that the job no longer satisfies you, think about what you want to do.

Network marketing bring out the following points according to Trump and Kiyosaki, keeping a regular job and starting a networking business at the same time gives you tax advantages.
