Is Keyword Research Important?

No it’s not! If you’re an auto mechanic, Doctor or a truck driver. However if you own a website, blog or write articles I’d say It’s as important as air is to the living. But when it comes to your online home business success, I would say that anybody that has anything to do with Internet marketing should, no hold on; let me reword that. “Better” learn everything that you can about keyword research and the importance of it and how it applies to your business. Put simply Keyword Research is simply one of the most crucial parts of your MLM or Online home Business success.

Keyword Research Basics.

I’m going to simplify and keep this as basic as possible. And I suggest that you do the same.  I say this because so many people get stuck in the ole, paralysis by analysis syndrome. So just keep it as basic as possible at first. Use what you learn right way and don’t allow yourSelf to get caught up or your online home business to be left behind by all of the technical knowhow that you really don’t need to know. Don’t over complicate it, keep it simple and this will bring online home business success.

In A Nutshell.

Keywords are like magnets, they attract the search engine spiders as well as they attract your visitors. They are a very important part of your on and off page optimization.

On page optimization: is when specific keywords are place strategically throughout your webpage be it in an article website or blog. This way they are notice by the reader and the search engines.

Off Page optimization: Is when the keywords are used strategically  throughout your ads, capture pages and even page within your very own sites or other sites that link back to the site that you want your customers or prospects to visit. Again, noticed by the readers and the search engines.

Internet Marketing, your Online Home Business or MLM.

Let’s make it very clear here, you want to market your Online Home Business or MLM using the World Wide Web / Internet. However, you just cannot just throw together a website and expect customers, prospects or recruits to fill up your email inbox with orders and sales overnight, you will have to learn certain strategies to make this possible. Even though I am very sure that that’s what you expected. Well, Surprise!  It’s just not that easy.

The Internet runs on “search” and that search is activated by words. Many, many  keywords. Just think about it; those first three letters that you use before actually putting in an address in the address bar  you first type in www. That’s a keyword – World Wide Web, which is followed by even more keywords. Or you want to Google something. First you put in the keyword; Google, then you put in the keywords that describe what you want Googled into Google. Then what do you get? A page full of words.

“ The one keyword that I want to stress in the keyword: “Online Home Business success: is, online. Online meaning, the Internet. And just like everything else in life there are rules, just as if you jump off of a flying airplane you are going to fall. There are also rules that you will have to learn when it comes to running an home business or MLM on the internet. And knowing keyword research, learning the where, when and whys of the keywords that you are using is a major determining factor, weather you succeed or fail in this business.

Keyword research is just one.

Just like a builder is not just a carpenter. A successful builder knows everything involved in building a structure from the foundation, to the framing of the walls all the way up to the chimney on top of the roof. However a builder can be a master carpenter, plumber or painter, but does not need to be a master of all of the trades, he just needs to know how they work.

The exact same goes for being a successful online home business entrepreneur, you want to know keyword research, SEO (Search Engine Optimization), blogging or website design, article and content creation, copy writing and many other skills that you will want to know about but not master. However it is recommended that you do master at least one.

The next step, take action.

And if you don’t know what they are the choice has just been made for you. Now sign up for your account.
• Pick your theme and Create Your Own Blog: My biggest suggestion is jump in and just start doing. Errors are okay as you will learn from your mistakes. Learn by doing get active and take consistent action.
• Make your first Blog Post: Write down 5 things that you learned today and post them on your blog.
• Make a Video: Post that on your blog.
• When you learn something new: Post everything you learn on your blog.
• When you do something fun: Post it on your blog. Have fun with it, other people will be attracted to that.
• Pictures: Take pictures and post them with a description of what was going on.
• Solutions: find common problems in your particular industry, come up with a solution, then put that in your blog post.
• Learn (SEO) search Engine Optimization: To promote your blog and get it optimized for good page ranking.
• Consistency: The key to successful Online Blogging. Provide fresh, relevant, solid content daily.

Guys and gals, I can go on for days and there is so much more to becoming a successful blogger. However the greatest  and most successful bloggers started off where you are right now. You write short articles on a given product, company or service. Then this article is made available for publications and distributed or syndicated to as many or as few article submission sites as you choose. However just like any other type of business, it’s all about exposure. So it is suggested that you get your article submitted to as many article submission sites as possible. This can be done using various different kinds of article submission software or you can do it manually with can be very time consuming.

Internet article marketing has been around forever. You can research and see that it is one of the original forms of marketing ever since people have been writing and putting information in print. Well written articles can bring credibility and exposure to a business as well as many new prospects.

Internet article marketing strategy is very easy, it works and it’s a very low budget marketing method to bring a very high quality prospect to your site or blog. One of the greatest advantages of this kind of marketing is that you don’t have to be an expert. 4. 4.      Select An Angle For Your Article:  What’s it going to be? A product review, an how to do, a personal story, fixing a problem?  These are just a few of many angles that you can use.
5. 5.      Come up With A Catchy Title: You want a title that’s like a billboard with flashing lights. You want it to grab the reader’s attention.
6. 6.      Write The Article:  Now that you have the reader’s attention, you know want to be able to keep them captivated through your words.
7. 7.      Distribute The Article: Submit your unique article, the big word here is “Unique” copied or duplicated content is a BIG FAT NO-NO.  The search engines know and it will affect your page ranking. A good page ranking is very important, but that’s a whole other subject.

Internet Article Marketing Tips & Tricks.

Always keep in mind that your articles should always be written with your reader in mind. It should be written mainly to assist your reader, not as a sneaky way to make a sale. Always keeping the best interest of your reader in mind will always pay off in the long run.

When writing how to articles never be afraid to give away your best stuff, do not hold back. When you’re more inclined to give your information for free your reader will want to read more attentively and ultimately buy when you offer something. This is why building a long lived trusting relationship always will be the best and more profitable method.

When your submitting your articles to multiple site, make sure to make your first submission to ezinearticles .com as they do seem to have the best duplicate content tools. If you submit your content to other sites first there is a possibility that your article can be flagged as a duplicate. Even though you may have written an original there is a ton of content thorough out the web  and something very similar could have been written.

The last tip I’m going to leave you with is the length of your article, not too short “No Less than 400 words” and don’t make it too long no more than 700 words. And I’m getting close.

My Way Out, The End Of An Unfulfilling Job. And the Beginning Of A New Life.

I know that many of you are going to read this article and think yourself what an ungrateful person I must be. So let me

clear the air right away. I am grateful for sheet metal workers LU#28. I enjoyed many good years of growing and learning with that union. I am also grateful for the layoffs that came at the end of a project.  Those layoffs inspired me to look and ultimately decide on starting a new life and becoming internet marketing professional.

Yes my original motive for thinking of surfing the web was money. I’m sure that my first search term was; how to make money at home.  Or something related to that. I needed to find something else to pay my bills and the internet seemed like a good idea at the time.  Just like at another time when I thought that joining the union was a good idea and it worked out fine. Since I had  a salary increase from earning $17,000 a year up to over $70,000 in less than 5 years and much more on years that I worked a complete  year plus overtime. So it turned out to be a pretty good idea. But now it’s time to move off of this stepping stone onto the next.

What was I to do?

I looked at all of my options. I was a ninth grade dropout, I was a recovering alcoholic  with prior run-ins with the law, I wanted to teach karate again but if I was called back to work, I would never be home with my wife and kids who I had neglected as a husband, father and friend  because of a life time of putting the bottle before my loved one’s. Sitting home at the dinner table with my family had take precedence  over everything else other than my recovery. So karate just didn’t seem like a good idea. I wanted to go back to school but then again, that would have taken me away from my family. Plus I was in default of a student loan from a technical school I attended when I lived in New York City with my mother. So I really couldn’t afford that even if I wanted to go just a couple of hours in the evenings. When I took a good inventory of my options I didn’t have many. That’s when I started to look online.

It wasn’t the Job, it was me.

Something happened as I was looking for some online home business ideas. As the layoffs were coming more often and lasting much longer. I decided to take some action and join one of these online home based businesses. Things were getting very uncomfortable at home; the stacks of bills were just getting bigger and my income just seemed to get smaller and smaller. That was my motivation to start this journey. I joined a pretty good company and even though I didn’t earn much money with that company I feel that I gained something much more valuable, an education. Just as I was starting to get some good leads and I began to see some progress something strange happened. The union called me back to work. I made a very mediocre move based on fear and inexperience and went back to work.

Nevertheless  the seed of becoming an online entrepreneur had already been planted and on my free evenings and weekends I cultivated, fertilized and nourished that seed by reading personal improvement books , listening to audio training on my I pad and learning as much as I could. I eventually stopped carpooling with my negative minded friends and would ride the train. My lunch bag was exchanged for a backpack so I could carry my laptop and work on the train and every other opportunity that I would get.

Now, here’s the thing, and this is why I said that; it wasn’t the job, it was me. I was changing, my mindset as an entrepreneur and a leader was growing away from that whole environment of a construction worker and the more I went to work the less I wanted to be there.  Finally on my last layoff I promised mySelf that I would never collect another unemployment check. And I’ve been able to keep that promise and many others.

My intention.

I just want to let you know. That if I can do it, you can do it. I had no money, no education and very little choices. So if you’re not happy with your current situation and are thinking about getting involved in to the world of internet marketing, network marketing or any kind of online home business you can do it. I’m not saying that it’s an easy thing to do, because it’s not. And honestly anytime anybody decides that they want to reinvent themselves. The truth is that I don’t care what you decide to do. It’s going to take hard work, commitment and much needed change  to achieve you goals.

But I am positive proof that if somebody wants to learn how to become an online home business entrepreneur it can be done. All you have to do is want it, plant the seed, take care of that seed make sure that that seed is nurtured and cultivated and before you know, it will be time to harvest and enjoy the fruits of your labor.internet marketing, network marketing

It’s easy to do.

However it’s also easy “Not To Do.” It’s all up to you. So, just keep this in mind; branding yourself is one of the most important elements of your online marketing success. You must brand yourself as a leader if you’re going to be a successful online home business owner, network marketer or internet marketer. So what I’m going to do is point you in the right direction. And as I said the rest is all up to you. And again you must remember, that just like many other thing’s that insure success. It is easy to do, but then again; it’s easy not to do. So let’s get started.

Building Your Brand.

What is “YOUR” brand? Your brand is you. You need to establish your authority, develop a presence and take action.

Authority: Take a look at what your promoting, either a product or service. Now it’s up to you to learn everything that you can learn about that product or service. Remember, you are now becoming their solution.

I hope that you picked up on what I just said; learn everything that “You Can” about it. Not “Everything” about it.

The trick here is not to get stuck trying to get to know every little detail that there is to know. As that will only hold you back. Remember we always want to be moving forward. You just want to know more than a new person that comes to visit your site. And of course, you will learn more and more in time and as you become more active and learn more with time. The key work here is “active.”

Develop Your Presence: You want to be known and associated with the product. So your brand is only going to be as strong as how people associate you with the product. You want people to look or think of the product or service and think about “YOU.”

A great way to get started doing this is on social networks, forums and video marketing. This is where you start to build trust and relationships, which is one of the key fundamentals of branding yourSelf as a leader. You don’t have to be the head of the pack; you only have to be ahead of someone else. Honestly the knowledge that you’re learning right now, is giving you a major advance over many others. It’s just that easy.

Take Action: When we say take action, we don’t mean do something today and tomorrow and you take the rest of the week off. And if you only have 2 days to apply towards your online home business ideassr, that’s fine. What I’m getting at is that you have to be consistent with your actions. So let’s just say that you can only work part time on your home business and Saturday and Sunday are the only days that you have free. Wonderful, you set up a plan and a routine and work towards the necessary action on those days.

Consistency is critical, because consistent action taken over a matter of time will lead to having more time to dedicate towards your business and less time on your job. Therefore achieving your goal of becoming a successful online home business entrepreneur. That people will be attracted too, and instead of you looking for them they will come looking for you. Looking for a leader to coach, instruct, guide them and help them to achieve their goals.

Take it to the next level.

Scratching their heads.

These 4 key steps are just so very basic that most people just think that they are not important to their online home business and just go on about their daily clutter and get nothing done when it’s all over. Then at the end of the year, they are back on the train riding into the J.O.B. that they hate, scratching their head, wondering to themselves; why is it that I’m still doing this?

Because the overlooked the basics.

These are basics, but they are as critical to your online home business success as the 55 ft deep, 2 acre concrete and steel foundation is to the N.Y.C. Empire State Building.

• Know what you want: Just saying that you want a successful online home business, or that you want to be rich, is not knowing what you want. You have to dig deep and find your inner, deepest and heartfelt reasons of why you want your home business. Who are your doing it for, what pain do you relate to having by not achieving success in your business? What will you lose if you don’t and what you will gain when you do? This requires some work and it’s something that many take months to figure out. But it is a must that cannot be overlooked.
• Decide what you’re willing to give up:  With great sacrifice come, great results it’s just that simple. Here’s a good one. The T.V. or as I like to call it; the automatic income reducer. For many people this is not easy, But would you rather watch Andy Griffith show for the 50 billionth time or go in vacation 4 times a year?  Especially if you’re running your business from home on a part time basis. Have you ever noticed that there are not many Millionaires on the bowling league? Why because they would rather work on their fortune than work on their bowling average.  We are not saying to have fun and give up entertaining activities. But honestly, in the beginning you will have to give up some things, we recommend that you find a balance.
• Surround yourSelf with like minded people: If you hang out with dogs, you’re probably going to get fleas. Look for, chase and imitate successful people. Connect with the top earners in the online home business community. If you’re in Network Marketing or Internet Marketing, find the best of the best in your company, get to know them and most importantly get them to know you. Get on all of the training calls, webinars, and attend company events, be proactive they will notice you plus you will learn. Just remember that you have to be in it to win it, and the pros know who the winners are. You hang out with them and they “Will” rub off on you. It’s a proven fact.
• Plan your attack and attack your plan. This was one of my biggest challenges. I planned nothing and I got nothing in return. I still have flyers all over my office walls; “JosephDiego if you fail to plan you better plan to fail.”  If I look up I can see it in 3 different places around my office. It was something that I had to work on. Just like push-ups, I had to build my planning muscles and I still work on them every day. Attack the plan, well it’s 10:38 pm and writing this article is part of my attack. You can do the same.

I have tons of many different topics on all of these 4 key strategies here in my blog. I also suggest books and audios CD’s and DVD’s Buy top motivators like Tony Robbins, Zig Ziglar, Jim Rohn and Less Brown.

These basic habits are just that, basic habit’s easy to do but also easy not to do, but if you want to succeed in your online home business I suggest that you do them. Again you can find an abundance of information on those top leaders and many free e-books right here on this blog, use them, put them to work for you as they have worked for so many others just like you.

Your Attitude will dictate your Altitude.

So how high do you want to go? It’s just that simple. So when thing are just not going your way, the last thing you need is a bad attitude. A bad attitude will hold you back; a positive attitude will move you, your relationships and your online home business forward and closer to your desired goals.

Inspired by everything going wrong.

Murphy’s Law has supenaed me today. It all started last night. Right here on my blog. Well as you can see; I love pictures along with my content. So I write yesterdays post and that went great. However, when I started to upload my images, it just didn’t work. I did everything that I thought I should do, to make it work. Still, no good! Then I get a young lady that wants some information from one of my sites. I send her the link, she informs me that the link worked fine but the site didn’t do what it was supposed to do. I look, she’s right. So now I have to fix that challenge on top my trying to get images on my blog. I can see that my attitude was now heading in the wrong direction, but I keep my head up.

Now the following morning, I still have website and blog issues. That’s just fine as I know that all I had to do was contact support for both my website and my blog so everything will be just fine. Until I look at my facebook advertising campaigns and they are all shut down by facebook, now what?

My first instinct.

Anger, frustration and discouraged: are you kidding me who needs this nonsense? (Those weren’t the exact words) But right away I went to a negative attitude. And at that very moment, I forgot about the positive and wanted to fix it right now I’ll show these guys. Now, let me remind you. This is all at or about 6:00 am.

The right thing to do.

Displacement of thought and inspirational dissatisfaction, and that was what I did. You see, I don’t know about you. But by default I go negative when confronted with a negative situation. So I’ve had to retrain my thinking to resist that negative attitude and replace it with a positive mental attitude.

I allow mySelf to be inspired by my dissatisfaction to do something positive. And I decided to sharpen my edge with positive action, deep breathing, meditation, visualization, and exercise along with positive affirmation. Keeping in mind that that a positive attitude will always overcome a negative attitude. That the solutions to my difficulties for that day will come to me much easier, faster and clearer with the right positive attitude. And guess what?  They did and always will as long as I can remember to keep the right positive attitude.

Busybody.

Okay, another one of the habits that I attribute to my success is that I’m a busy body and if you’re a successful Online Home Business Entrepreneur, Internet Marketer, Network Marketer , Motivational Speaker or a Spiritual Leader my nose is in your business. I love to know what you’re doing, what can I learn from you and what are you going to do. So that I can copy what you’re doing. Successful people do what other successful people do. And it works for me.

Happy New Year.

So here we are January 2^nd 2012. And almost everybody is talking about setting goals. Then the rest of the years it seems that everybody forgets it until next January. Nah, nah, nah that’s not what Tony Robins, Zig Ziglar and Jim Rohn told me told me. What happened the rest of the 364 days of the year?

My goal setting story.

Honestly I don’t remember much from school, even though I passed all of my classes “as I walk by them and out of the building” but I never learned much about planning and goal setting until I started to listen to my Tony Robbins cassette tapes. And I remember him saying to set goals all year long. And I did.

But here’s the thing. All that I did was put pencil to paper. Even when I was a trouble maker in the streets of the Bronx. I always knew that there was a better way. And I wanted better, I can also tell you that I no longer run in those streets nor do I make any kind of trouble, for myself or anybody else. Why? Because I put pencil to paper. I can honestly say that I still have many of those journals today and looking back, I have achieved most of if not all of my goals that I have put down and If I haven’t achieved them I and pretty certain that I will.

My message here to you is; all I did was do it. And it happened.  For me that was a beginning. The reason I say this is that I consider mySelf a horrible goal and plan guy. But it still happens. Today I am getting better at it, because I fail at it every day. I write pretty good, I’m just not to good at the follow up, or following through. But I’m working at it.

Plan, Do , Review.

This is great, as long as I plan, I can see what I have to do. Even though I’m kind of scattered at the end of the day or even the week I’ll look back at my plans and look at what I forgot and make sure that it gets done, and it does.

Imperfect action,

Is better than none, and that’s what I do. As I keep on doing I just get better at it. I’m going to become a great goal setter. You know how? Neither do I, but I will because it’s one of my goals. So here’s my imperfect action commitment to all of my readers and friends here on this blog. I’m going to write something about goals setting and planning somewhere within the first week of every month from now on. I do this for two reasons. The first reason is you and the second reason is the same reason that I write these articles with only a ninth grade education, the same reason that I make those silly videos, because the more that I do it the better that I get.

Online Home Based Business Success, Get Prepared.

Here we go, now you’re moving along. So now that you have decided to go full steam ahead with your online home based business. You have done all of the necessary research and found a company to work with and committed.  The fun has just begun.

Remember becoming an online home  business entrepreneur is very rewarding , but I don’t think that I know of anybody that says that it’s easy. Anybody with the right enthusiasm, attitude, discipline and devotion can do it, but it’s not easy. If easy is what you’re looking what I suggest that you go online and find one of those get rich quick systems that you pay $9.97 for and they promise you’ll be rich by next week.

But if you really want to succeed you must prepare yourSelf.

Because this is what this is all about, preparing, planning, and hard work. And hard work doesn’t mean digging a ditch hard, it means long consistent hours doing whatever it takes to achieve your desired  outcome.

So the first thing that you have to prepare is your mindset. You see if you’re like most people who get involved in this business, they think that this is a quick and easy way to make a living. They see all of the so called online home based business Guru’s making a ton of money and right away they think that they are going to do the same overnight or in a month, nope. It just doesn’t happen that way. Because what most people don’t see, is what that Guru had to do and go through to get to where they are today.

Perfect example my friend Ray. He says that 18 months ago his house was in foreclosure,  he was in the worst financial crisis of his life and his wife had to pay the bills. No he’s the top earner for the Network marketing company he’s with. Drives a brand new BMW, lives in a great big beautiful house and he’s earning more money than he ever has. Wow, in just 18 months?

No, that’s where he was 18 months ago. But the thing that everybody doesn’t see it that he’s been in many different Network marketing companies. He’s been doing this for years and by taking consistent positive action towards achieving his goals. And by taking these actions over an extended period of time it all finally all started to come together. So just keep this in mind. Now let’s move onto the next thing you need to prepare.

The work place.

It may seem very unimportant at first but a functional, organized and efficient work area or office is very important to help you focus on revenue producing activities as well as increase your productivity and time management.

Your workstation should be well lit and comfortable with an absolute feeling of freedom and enlightenment. Remember that in this area or room you will be creating, thinking and all of you magic has to be able to flow unrestricted. It should be inspiring along with a positive glow within the whole room.

A good internet connection is paramount, preferably high speed connection. You will also need to set up a dedicated phone line that only you or somebody else that you have trained will answer equipped with a professional voice mail message. Long distance plans for both your landline and cell phone.

Now that you are ready.

Now it’s time for putting all of this preparation to work for your online home based business and start getting customers. Which is going to take some scheduling, planning, budgeting and marketing all of which can be found all throughout my blog or you can just stay tuned for future articles.
